Classic Design
Garden Pine Design cape cod chairs (also known as adirondack chairs) are a classic design with a curved back and a rolled over seat front that provide great comfort and wide arms to sit your drink on.
High Quality Materials
New Zealand has some of the largest plantations of Radiata Pine in the southern hemisphere so providing Garden Pine Design Chairs with a reliable consistent supply of quality timber from a renewable resource (i.e. not damaging rain forests). Our timber comes from the pruned base of the tree and so is the oldest, strongest and knot free part of the tree. Pine has many advantages as well as being sustainably grown it's easy to work with, absorbs painting and staining systems well. An added bonus is they store locked up carbon from the atmosphere. We only use 304 grade stainless steel screws for assembly which are provided in our kitsets.

Cape Cod Chairs
Traditional Cape Cod chairs or Adirondack chairs as they are also known are made of wood and have a curved and fanned back, a contoured seat and arms that are generously wide and flat. The real comfort of the Cape Cod or Adirondack chair comes from the angles – of the seat to the back, and the legs to the seat. The chair has a deep seat and slanting back and can be paired with a footrest for true lounging comfort.
